Hey everyone,

I am stuck on the 0% for the download to the latest update for the fast ring, which came out today. For whatever reason, it will not start to download. I have done a soft reset after the first time, with no improvement.

I am on a L1520 and have not done the last two fast rings because of having to roll back to 8.1. My understanding, based on the information MS sent out previously in a notification, is that I should not have to have the previous updates to install this one. Is that accurate?

Any ideas?

Ui don't know how long you left it set but it does take some time before moving from 0% about 15 minutes on my phone.

I left it sit for pretty long (20 minutes or so) and when I checked the phone, I had an error saying that it was unable to download. I eventually managed to get it done, but not before getting multiple errors.

Odd.

Every phone is a little different depends on what build your starting from, big issue is not being patient or keeping the phone from going to sleep. Anyway it's great you manage to get done.
Odd.

Odd.

I have been getting multiple errors and have been unable to get it installed up to this point because of them. What errors did you receive, if you remember?

I've gotten, "We can't reach the update server" and Error 0x80246002 so far.

Went back to 8.1 then it installed fine. It's a pain but with doing as 581 is a far better build, I've got in on a 630 and it reminds me of the smoothness of 8.1. I might even put it on my 930 as it seems so good :)

I was only able to fix mine by doing a hard reset. I didn't have to roll back, but did a hard reset. After the reset, it appeared to be stuck on 0%. I left it for about 30 minutes, and it suddenly went from "Downloading updates 0%" to "Preparing to install 0%".

The progress bar does indeed lie.

Nope. I had downgraded to 8.1 first and had a clean reset of WP8.1 Update 2 before attempting to upgrade to 10572. The upgrade to 10581 was directly from 10572, but would not work until I hard reset the 10572 build. I did not initially hard reset after getting 10572 installed, which may have been the issue.

you should to flash the phone to Windows phone 8.1 back by Windows recover tool. Install on Pc neet the internet to down update. After flash finished. On phone:
1. Down Windows insider app.
2. Conect wifi
3. Run Windows insider to select is Fast ring. On this. Phone will reboot/seconds or tap reset now.
4. Go settings/update recover/update.
During check update must has good wifi to update and install.
