Aux Port as a speaker Phone

I have read where people use a cable that goes from their phone to an AUX port in their car as a speaker phone. Unfortunately, I must have a setting wrong. I often hook up my Focus to my car through its AUX port and listen to music. However if a call comes in and I answer it, the sound does not come through the speakers in my car. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Do you have the incall volume turned up? It's only accessible during a call, and is seperate from the music volume.
