the Lumia 800 is on TELUS

why dont you just by a Canadian Lumia 800? not to mention you actually get a warranty if you buy and use in Canada ,

if you import it , it waves the warranty.

LUMIA 800 Frequency:

2G Network
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900

3G Network
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - RM-819
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - For Canada
HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 - RM-801 CV

so YES! it should, but your going to need to have it carrier unlocked , then change the APN settings ( witch you cna find on the carrier's WEBSITE )

You may find your reception and data speeds may suffer from having only one of the 3g bands. Besides which, it's only $56 cheaper than buying one outright from TELUS. $56 is chump change to get a warranty and full-fledged service from your phone.

Yes it will work Rogers uses 850 and 1900 specifically if i remember correctly. Also as freestaterocker mentioned if it's a $56 difference just buy it brand new.
