Can Dev's provide these in Notification center

Currently in WP8.1 DP, The notification center usually just has one line of data per app which is really not of much use as we will have to open apps to read it full. Especially in case of Messages/News headlines etc, Can devs make sure more lines of data are shown in notification center for every notification (atleast 2-3 lines with small fonts). Or is it something that is currently not possible and Microsoft will have to provide an update for devs to work on?

Not possible. Notification centre is hub where all the notifications from different apps are collected in one place. It will show you a quick glimpse of what that toast notifications is about. To know more about just tap on it and you will be jumped to that particular app. I know android have a feature where you can pinch in /out to expand notifications. But this not possible at moment.
