Windows phone 8.1 dev preview warranty issue

The following is Nokia from Malaysia answering my question .

"Hi, Patrick. Note that the developer preview is not a Nokia update, it was not tested with any Nokia phone model thus we cannot guarantee the functionality. Yes, installing this will void the phone warranty. Best regards, The Nokia Malaysia FB Team."

any idea ? ><

Microsoft has a disclaimer saying warranty may be void if using the dev preview. The final call is made by the OEM. If Nokia Malaysia says it will void the warranty, then it will be.
