Transfer Game Saves Using microSD Card?

Question!

If I move a game onto the microSD card, and decide to buy a new phone.
Then I remove the microSD and place it in the new device, and redownload the game so that it will run on the new device...

Will the game save still work?
I don't have a second phone to test, but it would be awesome if it worked.

Does the game have backup available? That would make life a lot easier for you.

The best way to determine your answer would be to ask the developer where the save game data is located.

IIRC, app data is encrypted on microSD cards. It won't survive a hard reset on the same phone, let alone to a new phone. Unless your game implemented its own backup and restore mechanism or use the new WP8.1 cloud app data sync feature, you can't transfer game saves.
