It's quite embarrassing but after 8 months of having my windows phone, I've just started to take advantage of pinning websites to the start screen of my 1520. I like to know which websites, when pinned to start, show a live tile like Pocketnow and WindowsCentral.

    Thanks in advance!

(P.S. I'm into F1 but skysports and autosports website doesn't do that when pinned. )

You can use BuiltWith.com to check out whether a website supports the feature or not. It will be listed as "Windows 8 Pinning" or "Microsoft Browserconfig Scheme". They also have a very extensive list of websites that support it (paid).

Very few publishing systems have support for this built-in. Which is a bit weird as its easy to implement. There are plug-ins available for a few--like Nikola and WordPress--around. I guess it shows that developers still do not really care nor like Internet Explorer much. Its a fine browser and the feature is useful for website publishers and users alike.
