App updates rather than number of apps

Possibly the biggest argument against WP is the small number of apps compaired with iOS and Android. Whilst this is undoubtedly true, for me the issue of app updates is just as worrying.

When Apple increased the iPhone's screen size from 3.5 to 4 inches, developers were quick to update their apps accordingly. Meanwhile, at the land of WP, many apps - including ones from the more serious developers - are yet to be updated in line with the new screen resolution. As a result, these apps do not use up the entire screen, with some valuable real estate left empty at the top of the screen.

One glaring example is the eBay app. A few months ago eBay famously updated their logo, yet the WP app still carries the old logo, whilst the iOS and Android apps were quick to be updated. Surely updating their WP app is short change for a corporation as big as eBay, yet they haven't bothered so far.
