Swipe left for settings?

I've been using my lumia 920 ever since it came out and I love it. I love the os and the hardware.
Though I feel that settings should have their own "swipe" attached to them.
Perhaps instead of a tile that we can access general settings/options with, perhaps a "swipe left for options" should be in windows phone 8.1 update? I don't know if anyone's brought up this yet, but I definitely think it'd be useful for when I'm in the car or somewhere I can access quickly without having to look at the start screen for where the tile is (I tend to move thing around a ton on the screen, so the options tile is always moving around).

Any thoughts?

There is definitely room for a swipe left functionality. However, instead of settings, people have been saying you should be able to swipe left to access notifications (cause pull down is SO iOS/Android, heh).

What I think though is that you should swipe left ON TOP of live tiles to have them flip-over.

Either way, I'd love a swipe left gesture command, for any of the three purposes above.
