Hey all

I upgraded from a 920 to a 1020 awhile back and did a factory reset on my 920. Now I'd like to get the 920 back up to GDR3/Black - I figured it would just push the update, but it's been several days and every time I check for updates it says the phone is up to date (I checked, it's still on GDR1). I figured this was because it was no longer hooked up to AT&T, so I tried putting the SIM from my 1020 into the 920, but that threw an error. I also tried hunting down the Nokia Care Suite, but that keeps hanging when it tries to log into the database to get the ROM. Any suggestions on how to get it to factory GDR3?

Thanks

I thought putting the sim card into the 920 would of worked!!!
doing that over Wi-Fi or data?

WiFi only - The SIM fit, but the 920 wouldn't recognize it - kept throwing an Invalid SIM error. I even logged into my Microsoft account on the 920 and downloaded an app via WiFi, so I know it's connected, it just won't see updates.

I upgraded an AT&T Lumia 520 to Black without a sim over WiFi. I just checked for updates and it showed up. I don't remember doing anything out of the ordinary.

Sorry about asking, but are you sure it's not updated already? If the firmware revision number starts with 305x, then you have the update and just need to update your extras+info.

I upgraded my 920 that I don't use now because I have the 1520, to Black with no SIM. It wouldn't register as having Black until I did a soft reset.
