They've locked out NCS as well...
The Cache trick works, but there is no 1314 for the RM-821, just for RM-820. But maybe there was no Update at all for this Version (at least before they closed the Access)
firmware 1232.5962.1314.1 - RM-820 NDT AMERICA ATT Black (059L848)

I assume Nokia Software Updater for Retail still works for re-flashing, as that never required login credentials. That gives you the option to do a clean flash with the latest firmware only.
sad, they locked it the day i plan to download and install the update for my 920t. my rm821 didn't have the 1314 :(
We can still use product codes to download firmware from NCS. The cache from Navifirm should contain the product codes, although this will only provide you the latest firmware (that is unfortunate if you want to downgrade, which rarely what anyone wants). Future handsets (probably the 928) could use some product code sharing forum.
nope they are not.
There's an update to ncs available, anyone downloaded yet? Version 5.0 is showing as the newer version.
I also see there is updated firmware for the RM-821 VAR APAC AU CV Black. The updated firmware being advertised is 1232.5962.1314.0004
Why is blocked navifirm a problem?
I mean can't you access the firmware by nokia online login?
It looked like they had last night - I could search downloads by product id in NCS but actual download requests just sat there and did nothing. I didn't have a chance to investigate further.
Nokia should enable downloading firmwares through Navifirm again!
get their attention!
Hopefully someone out there will offer a solution to this. Something along the lines of what SamMobile provide for Samsung phones by hosting leaked firmware packages

Oooo, thats my fw!
Could we get a copy of your cache files please?
Edit: found it here: https://mega.co.nz/#!OhhUVRqD!S9qVZS...pD2c0c2m6ID4kA
Wow mega! 700 kb/s download :o Thats impressive!!
(I was sceptical of the size initially, but it uncompresses to 1.38gb)
Anyone has a cache for Lumia 900 with 7.8 update? For some reason I do not have the update on my AT&t unlocked Lumia 900.
That wasn't reported by Navifirm+, i plugged my phone in and used NCS. I was then offered the latest firmware but couldn't download.
I'm trying the update for NCS now to see if that changes things. If not, i've also grabbed from the link above too.
Thanks for emailing Elop, damn that suuuuucks.
oh i get what you mean. The Product support tools is blocked i guess, but the Data package manager still works fine albeit had been extremely slow these few days.
They're not blocked. If you already have the files in the RM-xxx Products folder found in C:\ProgramData\... downloads will not occur.
Didn't think to try that.... but I will
dxdy, you are the MOST amazing person in the world. I have a Telstra branded Lumia 920 phone here in Aus and its my 3rd unit and its also started its regular drop cellular until reboot, it runs 1249 and will be 1-2 months by the time they do 1308 or 1314. I recently downloaded and updated to the generic Australian ROM (1308), my reception is better, my battery drains at around 3.5%-4% vs the old 5%-6% per hour. However I went exploring for the ROMs for the new Lumia 720 I got my wife and ran into the error and hit clear cache. Too late to get the old Telstra ROM if I ever have to send it back. These files for (Telstra 1249) are on its way down. Thankyou so much!
They wont care if you send it back with generic fw.
I've got the Telstra standard 1242 fw saved. If a situation comes up in the future where its needed ill upload it. (i'm sure its on the internet somewhere though)
Thanks nikhilr51, I managed to get 1249 downloaded thanks to the cache file. And its saved. Its a just in case option.
can someone post the cache? I cleared mine without thinking.
The cache files link isn't working. Can you please resend or repost?
Thanks much
Thanks so much! My Lumina locked up today, then went into a reboot loop, did a hard reset, stuck on gears for 4 hours. Currently restoring a backup for the 28th thanks to this FW!
EDIT: Well after the restore it locked up again as soon as I tried to open settings. This time it went into the constant reboot loop of showing the Nokia splash screen and the ATT screen again and no matter what I did it still reverted back to the reboot loop. Tried factory rest with button combination, flashing to the 1314 a few times, all with the same results. Copied the cache files over and downloaded 1242 firmware. Flashed it with that and it came back to normal life. Let it pull OTA updates and then did a factory reset through settings. So far it's back up and running with no issues.
