HTC 8x bricked by a factory reset

Hello all, my i just got a used htc 8x as a trade deal, and immediately did a factory reset (from the software). On the following boot the phone got stuck on the carrier's screen and is stuck here every boot attempt. I have tried all methods of hard reset but since the phone is not properly powered off, I cannot get an exclamation point. The only remaining think is a vietnamese website with a rom update utility. I tried flashing the included roms, but the update utility says my phone has a newer software version. Bootloader says im running 1.00.631.06, and the included ROM's are versions 2.00.401.03 and 2.00.707.04. Doesn't make sense considering both ROM's are newer than my software. Returning the phone is not an option, so I'm looking for an nbh file known to restore these randomly bricked phones.
