Implications of updating to GDR3 through Developers Preview

Hi,

I recently updated my ATIV S to GDR2 by registry "trick". I, of course, would like to get GDR3 as soon as possible. There is the "Developers Preview" option. Thing is - I do prefare to use an "official" Samsung update.

If i'll update through the Dev Preview - would I be able to get the Samsung update when it comes out? If not - Is there an option to backup my current ROM and get back to it in the future, should I like to?
