My 920 doesn't doesn't use more than 3 percent in 2G mode. I don't think it will use a single percent in Airplane mode. But my location is off and no background tasks cause I don't need them. Also tap+send is off also..

My wife's 520 lost 1% at night on airplane mode.

My 920 a lot more !!!!

There is a battery metter bug on all 920, 925, 1020......

Try to reboot your phone and you'll see battery metter jump to a higher level.

Yes, and it is very sad that such issue is still not ironed out with Black update. MS is sure to be taking their own sweet time in improving the platform.

Assuming you have a PIN setup, I just turn wifi off, switch my phone off then plug it into the charger.
The phone boots up and then when it gets to the SIM PIN, just cancel and leave the phone.
You get no alerts, only glance screen if needed, and a full battery by the morning. Plus the alarm works too.
Just wondering why do you use flight mode?

I suppose even if in airplane mode, you could still have a high % of battery drain if you got apps running in background, glance on, etc. I guess some apps might still be trying to communicate/download some contents from the internet and it is not able to (as you in airplane mode), but it could still repeatedly try again and again if its not well written.

To be honest, the best thing is to hard reset, and don't install anything, turn off everything, don't add any email accounts or any other social media update, and like me, you can lovely achieve "only" a lost of 11% overnight (8 hrs)

my lumia 520 can last about 8 days!

My L920, after I hard reset and no apps, gives me a battery drain of about 2.5%.
At present, fully loaded, with wifi on, overnight I hit about 8 - 10%.
With wifi off, it's about 2.5 - 5%.
I only get about 12 - 16hrs per day.
And that's with a new battery installed.

Do a Soft reset(press volume down+power buttons simultaneously till your screen turns black and hold for 20-seconds) instead of a mere Reboot(this just powers off the phone, whereas Soft Reset is supposed to clear RAM and everything, even Date/Time is resettled. not to worry, your settings/data is safe) :)

it should not be... mine is at <5% when it is on airplane mode. even better if i activate the battery saving mode which works like a charm! my phone lasts for up to 2-3 days with mobile data on (3g)
