    Hi all,

Is this possible? I know iPhones can have a mic plugged into the headphone jack, and given the 1020 can use a cabled hands free kit i imagine the answer is yes, but just curious.

Reason I ask is I am eyeing up a directional mic for video use with the 1020 as the onboard mic isn't perfect (good but not great).

    Apparently, yes.

However, it would appear you should test them to ensure they work. iPhone appears to be a big no. If you're not adverse to Bluetooth I'd recommend that, that way you don't need to worry if it works or not.
