This is just a thread for 620 users to write about their experiences with their phone (the good and the bad), accessories they use, and general tips to benefit new users.

As for Advice to newbies

Apps that you should get:
Nokia mix radio (if it is not installed)
Nokia camera
Sys app pusher
The Bing trio (News weather and sports)
Oh clock
Indigo (if you want to try something new)
Network speed test from Microsoft
Ashpalt 8 (works wonders in gaming)

It is best to update you phone and apps to start with as most phones aren't updated out of the box.

My experiences:
Had my Lumia for a year now and it never ceases to amaze me about what of an all-rounder it is
Its really a superb phone and I love it.
Glad to have bought it (though I had trouble getting a screen protector here in the UAE)

Info on my phone
Colour is cyan
Battery life: not as bad as people say it is as mine lasts 3 days of low to medium use (without mobile data)

I've installed the Black update.
Does your double tap to wake up the phone works?
Mine...no.

@h1berto I have my phone updated to black and double tap to wake works really well
Maybe you may just have to restart the phone or something.

I restarted and it doesn't work.

edit: it was disabled in settings...
