mail app - deleting mail from server

Hi
is there a way of when deleting mail from my Lumia 620 it also is deleted from my mail server? I am running Yahoo mail and gmail as linked accounts on my phone but it's a bit of a pain when I have to delete them twice (i.e .once from phone and then from mail server on my laptop)???

Yahoo has a list of mail clients that can be configured to do this. Unfortunately, WP is not included.

Deleting messages in Gmail after POP downloads

To delete messages accessed with POP: 1.Sign in to Gmail.
2.Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
3.Select delete Gmail's copy from the drop-down menu in the POP Download section.
4.Click Save Changes.
