Had some time to setup the JR on a straight talk ATT sim.
I can send and receive text and picture messages and go online.

The picture shows my bars. WiFi router is turned off for testing.

What's the H between the 2 sim icons? A little + (plus sigh) blinks next to the H

To elaborate on this, I'd say HSPA is 3G and HSPA+ is more "3.5G" (although on some devices they'll say 4G instead of H+ or HSPA+, which is false. But they're allowed to do that.)

HSDPA (or HSDPA+ when you see the + sign).
    settings cellular+sim
edit internet apn and edit mms apn

Straight Talk gives these settings and after I entered the info, and saw the H wasn't sure if I had done it right.
    Now I know

    Thanks again
