Lumia 635 headphone jack

It's weird my old iPhone headphones with Mic work but my tape adapter for my car doesn't. Neither does my wired speaker. These all worked on my old Lumia 521. I'm running stock OS but thinking of going back to the dp like my old phone

Maybe obvious but did you put them far enough in the jack. And did you try to move it around when it was in to see (actual hear) if it starts to work.

Hehe yes to both, I've tried all the normal steps. It just doesn't recognize headphones without a mic

Okay sorry but you never know but than the next one is also hehe install DP and try again and if that does not work change your phone because it should still be under warranty.

My 635 was tough to insert the headphones into the jack. I too was getting limited performance. Then I twisted it as a put it in and they went in the jack properly and everything works. Double check that the headphones are fully inserted into the jack.

I thought the jack was messed up because I have never has so much trouble inserting the headphone. It just takes patience and force to do it correctly.
If its not all the way flush with the phone it is not in all the way.

Tape deck converter works now but my mini speaker ball still doesn't recognize it
