How to tell if the battery is getting too hot?

how to tell if the battery is getting too hot

I have a Lumia 930 (denim) and I find the bottom right corner gets hot when I use the phone for extended periods of time (more than 20 mins browsing the web etc). How do I know if this is normal or if it is a system issue? I know of overheating issues on the phone so I expect some heat just not sure how much is too much.

It should never get too warm to be uncomfortable... It should always be manageable. Does yours overheat? Or just get warm

Sounds normal to me with 20 minutes of use.

I disagree. Mine stays cool just browsing and reading pages for 20 minutes.
Although 20 minutes of gaming??? That gets warm.

Well, that's the thing. It gets hot just on that corner, the rest is ok. So I am not sure if this would be considered overheating or not. It seems to be mainly when using the web browser.

I tried using the internet for the same timeframe but in landscape, not in profile, and I didnt get any heat generated.

It must be the way I hold the phone in profile that causes the build up.
