My browser is locked on my Lumia 925, how can I get it unlocked for free?

Browser locked on Lumia 925

Hi, my browser is locked by a Ukash scam on my Lumia 925! It says I have to pay ?100 by Ukash to release it so I suppose it's been hijacked! Can anyone help please?

Can you simply close that tab or navigate away?

Judging from what I know, it might be little more than a scary popup asking for money.

It won't allow me to navigate away. It does seem to be a hijacking scam and I can't access settings or temporary files to delete it!

(can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?)

other things I'm thinking of:

- try another browser like Opera mini or UC Browser?
- is any other device on your network affected?

Have you tried a soft reset and afterwards access the browser settings from the phone settings instead of opening the browser?

Had this on my 520 a while back. A reset will work. But before that turn off wifi and GPS for 5 min and clear your browser cache via storage sense. Some people in MS forums says it should work
