My father has a problem with messages going straight to voicemail on his Nokia 635. He's on the EE Network in the UK.
It only happens with certain numbers. I have rung his phone with it in front of me. The first phone I used to ring his phone rang as normal and the other I used went to voicemail with no notification saying a message had been received.
I'm relatively phone savvy and have checked all the settings and they are ok.
A quick search online will show this is by no means a rare problem particularly with Nokia's but also with other devices. I've yet to find a fix.
