Bricked my Lumia 730

So, my 730 gave me a sweet new year surprise. It got bricked. I don't know how. Its running the latest update (10586.36). yesterday, its touch stopped working so I restarted it and an endless reboot loop followed. I tried to reset it only to see :-(.
Its annoying. I have tried everything I can do.. left it for hours at end with its battery out, charged it overnight. Nada. I am at my wits end.
So... help please?

Dumb question, have you tried the recovery tool on a PC?

I would have. only if it would stay on for more than 10 seconds. its still just not resetting itself. If I am lucky enough to keep it on for more than 10 seconds and the gears start grinding.. in mere five seconds, the ':-(' message show off. I HATE that l'il *****. So, no. I'm guessing its a battery issue. I'm gonna replace it and then post the results. *fingers crossed*
