2A charger for 640XL

I have a Lumia 640 XL and 750mA charger . It will take 4 hours to charge completely. Can I use 2A charger for my phone? I have one. Lenovo branded.

As long as it puts out 5 Volts. You'll be okay, you can use a 9000A charger with no ill effects. (as long as it's up-to-standards.

I've also used a lenevo charger worry my 640XL and it charges fine and faster.

I've been using a 2A Lenovo branded charger from a 10" Lenovo tablet to charge my phone since the day of dawn, and it hasn't seemed to affect the battery in any negative way. It's still a mystery to me why Microsoft only included a 750 mA charger with this device.

PMIC limits charging current to 1A . So even if you use 10A charger , battery will charge at 1A. But it charges faster on higher voltages up to 5.5V ( Voltage * current = power . 1A*5V=5W , 1A*5,5V=5,5W). So its ok to use chargers up to 5,5V and 3A - 4A
I think main reason of using weak adaptor is battery. Because most of lumia phones with 3.8V battery have Samsung SDI battery and those batteries are worse than sony batteries which is used by nokia in older devices like 1520 1320 , 820 ex . Samsung SDI batteries lose their capacities very fast .And another thing is i tried charge 640XL battery externally with 1.5A current , battery suddenly started getting warm. So thats why microsoft wanted to limit charge speed.

Wait a minute, were you charging by wiring up the battery directly here?!

I did it only one time for battery capacity calculation (i'm obsessed with batteries since i was 10 years old , i like to calculate and record capacities of batteries every month and i compare their wearage/aging month by month.)
I charged it with charger named Turnigy Accucell 6 . It's a popular and safest charger for charging hobby RC Li-Po batteries but i use it for different purpose like charging my single cell batteries. It calculates mAh while charging (or discharging) battery. 7months old 640XL battery was rated at 2400mAh . I connected battery to charger using male -male dupont wire in case you want to know.
