Why can't I watch videos on Youtube desktop site?

I own a Lumia 920 with Denim installed OTA. I just noticed that I can no longer watch videos on YouTube desktop site in IE. The mobile site works fine though.

The desktop site never worked for me on IE.It was because my net connection was too slow.Try using tubecast or metro tube.

Thanks for your reply. I am now using metrotube, it works perfectly fine. Still I want an answer why this happens though.

Some videos like the ones from vevo are desktop only.Probably because of the high quality they don't wanna waste your mobile data and the quality varies from the data plan and actual result.
