Ho can I sync my Outlook.com contact information with an Adnroid phone

I have need to carry an Android device. I DO NOT want to have to use a google account for my contacts. I have the Outlook app on it working great....but contacts. How can I sync my contacts with outlook.com. I know i could export and import into google...but who wants to do that to maintain contacts. Is there a way to sync my contacts on a continuous or semi-regular basis?

Any help is appreciated.

On your Android device, go to Contacts -> Settings -> Contacts -> Accounts and add your Microsoft account in there. They then should sync down to your phone.
The above will also add your Microsoft (Outlook) email to the stock email app as well as your Outlook calendar data to the calendar app.

*You may have to improvise on the way how to get to the ADD ACCOUNT option. The above works on Samsung devices with the TouchWiz interface.
