Dialling or Dialing

Hi,
I noticed that on my 920 when I'm dialing it spells it dialling with two L's
Anyone else noticed that? I thought one L is the correct way...I don't think this is a Queens English or US English thing like colour or color

Dialing = US, Dialling = UK

Yes, I notice it everytime, lol. Drives me nuts. I am Canadian so it's dialing here.

Actually in Canada, it would indeed be dialling. We tend to take the British version of words.

I also imagine that changing the phone to use a US locale would make it "dialing"

Canadian English tends to use the US spelling for some things and the UK spelling for others.

Neither have I, but the Wikipedia page states that we use the double "l"s.

Think of the years us Brits have stayed quiet about 'favorites'.... Not to mention whole word hijacks such as 'movies' instead of 'films'.
