Can I run some kind of ms dos thing on windows 7, just wanna know how these ms dos works.

I wanna know, how these things works like c+ , c#,c , html, XML, dos.
So dos is first one I wanna start with,
So just need some basic help.
As I have already learnt html via Internet. Like all html body tables marquee behavior on notepad , so now want to go learning with dos.
Please guide mw.
