ok So i am going to post this here in hope someone else has the same issue.

I own a Surface Pro 3 that I upgraded to Windows 10... didn't run that smooth anymore so I reset the machine so I am now basically using a fresh windows 10 install.
installed my Office 365 Pro software on it
I am having major issues with things like SEND TO > MAIL RECIPIENT or on the file explorer there is a share / email button too.
I keeps on saying no default mail client is configured. and cannot do anything...

this is not true because
- outlook is THE default mail client
- protocol ''mailto'' is also assigned to Outlook...

its driving me nuts and I often browse to files I need to send by email.

thanks

so nobody has this issue? i have it on 2 windows 10 machines...
i even seem to get the popup once in a while without doing a send to shortcut...

Very weird...

I tested it on my dad's laptop and it seemed to work perfectly fine.
you should go and check if default prorgrams is set right. it used the MAPI send thing not the mailto.
because when you go to shell:sendto and you double click it says .MAPImail.

if not maybe it's a registry problem but it sounds strange it's nor working on 2 computers.

ok so I tried on one of the machines to upgrade to office 2016 preview release and it has fixed my issue...
not sure I want to update on my main working machine (surface) yet... how stable is office 2016 preview? :)
