Nokia Transit Confusion

One of the apps I was most looking forward to when upgrading to the 900 was Nokia Transit. I live in Chicago and don't own a car, so I'm always on the trains and buses. From what I had read, and saw in videos, you are supposed to be able to pin a trip to your start screen and that tile would keep track of your progress during the trip. However, i don't see an option to pin anything from within the app. The option does show up in the trip grid view, but it is grayed out. Even after selecting a particular trip, there is no option to pin it. I have version 1.2.0 downloaded. Is there something I'm missing?
