My apologies if this has been discussed before, I searched but didn't find anything.

I have Appy Weather listed in my phones app list. I can pin the tile from the long press menu. When I try to launch the app, it goes to the Store's update page. When I attempt to uninstall the app with a long press, the uninstall option is grayed out, as if the app isn't installed. When I go to the app's page in the Store, it shows the app is installed, and offers the "open" option. This leads to a pop up that states it can't be opened, but a update may be available. A visit to the update section shoes no update. Anyone run into this? Lumia 950 with dev preview.

I hope you find an answer that doesn't involve a device reset. I have Photosynth in pretty much the same state.

I've had the same kind of thing happen. I uninstall an app with the intention of re-installing (doing this because the app icon didn't update after an upgrade) and the Windows Store thinks it's still installed.

Waiting a few hours/overnight has usually fixed it for me, I guess there's some housekeeping task that needs to run. I don't know whether this is the same problem as you're having or not.
