Lumia 525 speaker not working 8.1.1

I suddenly realised that my Lumia 525's speaker died out. I tried going to ringtones+sounds and playing a ringtone, going to the Music app and playing a song, in both instance NOTHING played from the speaker. I turned off phone, turned on again, did the same thing, no luck. I'm running WP 8.1.1 DP without Cyan, India CV. Any help?

P.S. did a restart, nothing happened. I'm seriously thinking of downgrading to 8.0 and sending this to Nokia care. Should I?

Turn Cortana off, location off And reboot. After a day, reboot again and turn Cortana and location on again.

Wait it is fluctuating
It just worked when I left it for notifications of hike. When I picked it up it stopped again. But ok ill try ur solution

Ok I got the problem. My speaker works. But, when I slide off a toast notification that comes on during the screen being turned on, sound doesn't work for a while. Well then. Thanks for the help

Forget it. Case closed. I just removed the back cover and tapped the speaker area a bit. It started working again

That sounds like a loose wire
