nokia 1020 Screen too bright and yellowish

my screen had been flickering in brightness for a while and now its stuck on really bright and colors are washed out in a yellow tint. it's more on the left side of the phone and nothing I change in settings changes it back to normal. screen also get pretty warm if on for a while. anyone know why this is?

When is the last time you rebooted? Try that?

What version of the OS? Are you on Preview for Developers?

just the latest upgrade. It's a new phone so I havent done much with it.
Wierd.. it's back to normal after flickering a bit with the brightness again, could it be that it's the light sensor thats messed up. As far as I'm aware I have turned of everything thats using it. is it broken or is the light sensor always on?

The light sensor is always on... you might want to clean the sensor area at the top of the screen.

​Did you get 8.1 w/ Cyan yet? There is a new Brightness Profile under Settings > Display.
