side buttons not working on lumia icon

Yesterday I was on a phone call with my friend. In the middle of the call the phone randomly hung up and I could not get the screen to wake up. I thought the phone had simply just died but was a little confused since I knew it had an ample amount of battery left. I stuck it on a charger and the phone still would not wake up. I did a soft reset which just restarted the phone. Still, none of the buttons are working. The power button will work if I do a soft reset but other than that, the volume, camera, and power button are unresponsive. In order to look at my phone I have to restart it. I have tried a hard reset but that did not fix a thing.

Hmmmm...try installing Nokia software recovery tool and see what happens

What you do to fix this because mine just did same thing. make matters worse. Windows 8.1 don't support volume apps so I'm clueless. Please help a brother a out

I just had an issue with mine I just reset it by holding volume down camera and power until it reset then let go it seemed to find the buttons again and started working. it coincided with a battery saver update so it may have been that update that broke the buttons for a while. in any case its all working now.
