Windows Technical Preview

Hi, I am running win 10 on my old system. The CPU usage seems quite high (its idling at 25-27%) Does anybody have any ideas why its running so fast?
The system
Core 2 quad Q9550
6.00GB RAM
60GB Agility 3 SSD.
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R.

Windows 10 is not a complete OS just a preview or a concept of the OS, so it's normal to see a lot of bugs and unsupported stuff. The final W10 could be lightly or radically different of what you see in this preview version.

did you open task manager and see what was running, that will break it down. Then you can view the PID to see the exe's that are running.
