Why does my 830 get hot when charging and can't shut it down?

New 830 hot when charging and can't shut it down

I am currently charging a new (secondhand) lumia 830 and I cannot get it to shut down. If I do a shut down by sliding the screen down it shuts down and restarts and if I hold the middle side button on it does the same thing. Also it gets quite warm while it is charging, is this normal for a phone that has only be charged twice?

Normal behavior for most Windows Phones with few exceptions is that they will not remain off when charging.

As for the quite warm part, if it was charging wirelessly, I'd have no problems. otherwise, it could just be busy or something.

Ditto what Xandros said... They just boot when charging. Oh well.

About the warm part: how are you charging?

Wired, Qi pad, what? Is it a factory Cable? Where is the heat; around the battery, the camera module, elsewhere?
