Why is the date and time wrong?

I checked my phone for the time, it was saying the right time but was saying the wrong date. I thaught to change the date and time so they correspond with each other but the time and date just wont budge.

Have you checked Settings/Region to ensure the Country/Region is correct, and Settings/Date+Time to make sure that Set Automatically is on? That should get time and date from your carrier network.
