I doubt that a lot of budget consumers care about this in comparison to performance, but I can't get past the fact that the 435, 532, and 535 shoot SD video. To me it is a deal breaker when there are plenty of 512 MB phones that can. Does Microsoft really think that people are so infatuated with the bigger screen, flash, selfie camera and 1 GB of RAM that they'll live with this?

To me the 520 is the Commodore 64 of Windows Phone and these new phones are the Commodore 128; more capable, but uninspiring. Meanwhile power users have moved onto "Amiga" like capabilities. It seems like these are the concessions Microsoft has to make in order to sell phones for less than $200 these days.

There are so many Windows phones Microsoft needs to do something to nudge budget customers towards better technology. Perhaps this was the best way to do it.
