Has anyone used this on a non-Dell?

Hi everyone...
I have (or will very soon have) an Asus Vivotab Note 8. In my opinion it's only downfall is that it cannot charge and use USB peripherals at the same time.

Dell have released a USB dongle for their Venue 8 Pro to address this issue. (I cannot post links, google "Dell Micro USB dongle for data and charging to see what it is)

I was wondering if anyone has tried this on a non-Dell? Or can confirm that it would work with the Asus? I know the two are almost identical under the hood but I just wanted to ask before forking out $20.

I don't have the official Dell version of this, but I do have a generic one. It works fine on all of my devices. It probably won't last as long as the Dell one though. Good luck.

I have seen a generic one or two, particularly on Amazon... but they had people commenting that the charging part didn't work. Do you know where you got yours/where I might find one like yours?

I have the one from Dell.
Works fine on the Acer Iconia tab 8 my wife has.

When I ordered this from Dell they sent it overnite free of charge.
