Windows Phone 8/10, can't type password numbers

I tried to install Windows Phone 10 Preview on my Lumia 920, and after the update was finished I could not get past lock screen. When it says that I need to enter my password to unlock, phone does not give me numbers to type in and I can't to anything to fix it. Isnt it backed up to cloud? Or in a SD card?
If it isnt then, Why would u install Tech Preview on ur phone when there are important data on it?
Anyone who installs TP should always be ready to do a hard reset or even flash back to older OS if u are not then something like this would happen. Hard reset is the only option I am afraid...
