Notepad - Should we expect improvements?

Can we expect improvements for simple Notepad like Advanced settings including better visuals - background color change, lines counter etc.. Or are you guys leaving that work for the Office 365 Devs?

I think they'll just leave Notepad as it is and concentrate more on important things, after all their are a lot of alternatives you can download (from Microsoft and other companies) that have much more features.

I think improving Notepad should be prioritized. While I use Notepad++ on my own PC I often find myself connecting to a Windows server or using another PC where Notepad is my only available choice.

Some improvments I'd like to see:

• Handle large files better
• Recognize common file formats (html, xml, css, js...) with color coding
• Auto indentation
• Line numbers
