Same Prod. Key from 2PC upgrade

Upgraded my desktop(with Win.8.1 32bit) and laptop(with Win7Pro 64bit) to Win. 10 Pro.

Checked product key on both. Both keys were identical! Can I clean install using

that key?

To another machine that hasn't been upgraded? No. On those machines you already upgraded? Yes.

You are seeing a "generic" key. Your license for each machine was converted and stored in the cloud along with your hardware config.

Do a clean install on each machine and you must use the same Microsoft Account to sign in during set up.

My understanding. I've not gotten around to a clean install yet. A certain forum keeps me busy.
