Screen doesn't get locked after sleep

When I close my laptop screen and reopen it, the desktop automatically opens up on my windows 10 and skips the password and sign in part.

Re: Screen doesn't get locked after sleep

I was having the same problem on my laptop. My other computers also upgraded to Win10 are locking just fine.

To fix the problem, I did this:
  1. Go into Power Options
  2. Click "Choose what closing the lid does"
  3. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
  4. Select "Don't require a password"
  5. Save Changes
  6. Go back into "Choose what closing the lid does" and change the setting back to "Require a password"

Apparently the setting got stuck during the upgrade and resetting it gets it unstuck.
