Lumia 1520 wont update

I recently bought a lumia 1520. It already had windows 10 preview 10136 on it and its buggy... I have the update from windows insider (slow) but wont update... please help. i cant even send txts

If you're trying to roll back to Windows 8.1, which i'd recommend if you're unable to update from Windows 10 Preview 10136, you'll need to use the Windows Phone Recovery tool: FAQ - How can I recover/reset/restore my phone software? - Microsoft - USA

It will, however, wipe your phone clean. If you want to update to Windows 10 10512, you can simple reinstall the Insider app from there and start fresh.

If you're not a techy person, I would advise that you stay on WP8.1 until RTM or a more stable insider preview is released.
