My gmail says 'not synced yet' What can I do to fix this?

Delete the account from the phone and start over.

Need more information. On a phone or a PC? What operating system? It can indicate lack of Internet connectivity due to your wifi being down or your data service having expired. On WP8.1 you can resync the account by doing a long press on Gmail from the Settings section under Email and Accounts.
