Since a couple of years I'm use a permanent ping to my mobile phone as an indicator for my home automation to detect if I'm home.
On my Ativ-S phone I could prevent the power down for WiFi with the option "Keep Wi-Fi on when the screen times out".
With the Lumia 640 I had to plug the phone into the docking to keep WiFi on when I'm home.
But with the Lumia 950 I found no way to keep WiFi on. Even with external power the WiFi always switches off when the lock screen appears.
Is this a bug? Will this get fixed?
Everybody (also Microsoft) is is talking about IoT but on the other hand they make it impossible to automate the simplest things, by taking away the possibility to configure the devies as we need them.
Has anybody a solution for this phone to keep WiFi on without using dummy song playing "Keep Alive"?
