Forgot password locked out

[Windows Central Question]

I believe my computer operates on a Windows 10. Needed to get into administrator but forgot password. Thought I created new administrator account but it replaced the secondary account I use and then I promptly forgot password for that account, so now completely locked out. Downloaded reset password software and transferred to my computer, everything going well, prompting me to put in new password but when I entered it, says there is a problem and can't complete task. Now what?
