Unlocking the 520

Hey guys I've bought a locked at&t 520 and I'm trying to get it unlocked but because I don't have an at&t account I can't ask them for the code and the unlocking sites seem to be fake. I've tried cellularunlocker.net but when I posted random numbers into its IMEI checker it said the IMEI was correct. Now I am asking if I need to buy a new phone or what should I do.

I believe you have to have service on the phone for a few months before it can be unlocked. You could try getting a pre paid AT&T GO sim card and then you are an AT&T customer, they may be willing to give the unlock code.

Why cant you ask them ( ATT) for the unlockcode?
You probably have to pay some extra but i dont think they would refuse.

Check the IMEI for your phone in the "about" setting.
