So I traded in my 925 for an LG G3, and miss WP. The larger screen and microSD on the G3 spoiled me, so I don't want to go back to a 925; is the 1520.3 (RM-938) the best bet for me, or is there another WP phone I've overlooked?

1520.3 is the best Windows Phone out right now. HTC One (M8) for Windows fans will argue theirs is... The spec is so close on them, but the 1520.3 battery endurance is fantastic, it has Qi Wireless Charging and the advantage of being uncoupled from a Carrier for fast track updating. The HTC One (M8) on T-Mo benefits from getting their carrier ware such as WiFi Calling and SoftCard tap-to-pay should be rolling out to T-Mo soon (the other two partners, Vzw & ATT got it recently and it is only for branded phones).

Also Factory Unlocked international 830 and 735 are reported working fine. Other Factory Unlockeds to consider are Blu Win HD or Win Jr. None of those would be a clear upgrade from 925's performance though.

When upgrading from 925 I chose 1520.3, but One (M8) was still just a rumor as a T-Mo offering. If WiFi Calling is a valuable part of your T-Mo experience you need a branded phone.

LOL Potatos made my Long Story Short while I was typing my reply. When I started my post, his was not there.

A tip of my hat for your brevity, sir.

I'm using an unlocked 1520 (RM-940) on Tmo and it works great. Same shirt falls that are always mentioned no QI charging and no WiFi calling. Neither of these are missed because I didn't have them before.

Thanks for the replies! The M8 looks nice (my first 'smartphone' was an HTC, the PPC-8600 running WinMo 6.5, good times!), but that Lumia style is just too sexy. I'm the odd one out in my family now (the wife has a 925 and the son has a 530), so I guess the hunt begins for a 1520!

P.S. WiFi Calling is a complete non-issue for me, it doesn't seem to work well with the router we use and we get good coverage anyway, so I've always turned it off.

Late to the party, but I came to the 1520.3 from a 925, and I have no regrets at all, it take a little getting used to, but when you do get used to it, it really is a fantastic device, I couldnt see myself getting a smaller phone anymore
