It would be even more cool to be able to use it in NFC mode to pay for stuff or authorise at different machines but your screen glance experience is fine, too ;-)

Yes, that would be cool, except Band does not have NFC built in. And with the way we have to wear it (on the inside of the wrist), we would have many people injuring their wrists trying to get band close to the NFC reader

Take a look at the way this guy used his band in Starbucks.

    It was awkward.

That wasn't more awkward than the times I've had to move the scanner to show the bar code on my phone, but it was more complicated than I've experienced using my Band at several Startbucks so far (admittedly I go there too much). I have my Band screen on the bottom of my left wrist so I don't make have to contort my arm like that guy did. The only "problem" I've had was when the barista made my order before charging me and I learned just how quickly the Band times out the screen.

Paid twice today at Starbucks here in Germany with my Band. Scanning the QR took less than a second.
Although they did not see anything like that before. Cool ;-) And there was no need to show them my Starbucks card.
Hopefully know one will know my card number as there is no double or online check...
Anybody telling me his/her Starbucks card number, eh? .-)

imported it probably. I imagine many enterprising people are selling the band overseas for profit.

I just logged in on a service and it sent me a text to confirm it was me. It was kind of cool to be able to just look on my wrist and read the code. Very futuristic. :)
Exactly. I was wondering if anybody would mention this. It is great to not jump back and forth to the authenticator and to the app that requires two-factor authentication. Very convenient.
    cheers

Maybe it would be practical if authenticator app could show up on the band, too.

I used mine successfully for the first time at Starbucks this morning, I just took it off to hold it up to their barcode scanner.
